Keep Your Smile Healthy with General and Restorative Dentistry
General and restorative dentistry are key to helping you maintain a healthy and functional smile. Dr. Abbey J. Lee provides a variety of treatments, such as routine cleanings, exams, and oral cancer screenings designed to protect your overall oral health and help you maintain your natural teeth for as long as possible. If any cavities, gum disease, or other abnormalities are located during a routine examination using our state-of-the-art technology, we can restore the structural integrity of your teeth and prevent further damage from occurring with a tooth-colored filling, dental crown, or one of our other highly effective restorative treatments at Smiles 4 Grant Park in Atlanta, GA.
General Dentistry Treatments
Comprehensive examinations and cleanings are recommended every six months to maintain your oral health and prevent serious dental concerns from occurring. During your examination, Dr. Lee will use high-powered x-ay technology to evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Visiting the dentist every six months can help detect the earliest signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer and other health issues, as well as help correct improper brushing techniques and treat bad breath.

- TMJ Disorder Treatment: For patients who struggle with teeth grinding, jaw clenching, and the residual after effects, such as headaches, jaw pain, and difficulty opening and closing their mouth, we offer multiple TMJ disorder treatments, such as mouthguards and TENS therapy.
- Sleep Apnea Treatment: Lee can provide a customized oral appliance to treat minor to moderate sleep apnea.
- Oral Cancer Screening: We use ViziLite technology to detect abnormalities within the soft tissues of the mouth
Restorative Dentistry Treatments
If any tooth decay or damage is identified during your examination, Dr. Lee may recommend one of the below treatments to restore your smile:
- Tooth-Colored Fillings: This procedure is designed to treat minor to moderate tooth decay with natural-looking composite resin. Dr. Lee will color-match the resin to match the natural structure of the patient’s tooth to provide realistic results. Tooth-colored fillings provide a safer and more aesthetically-pleasing approach to silver amalgam fillings.
- Inlays/Onlays: When damage is too severe for a filling but not quite severe enough for a dental crown, we can provide a custom-made inlay or onlay to repair a tooth. Made from composite resin or porcelain, this restorative treatment can protect the biting surface of the tooth.
- Dental Crown: When a tooth is severely decayed or damaged, Dr. Lee will provide a custom-made dental crown made from durable materials to prevent an extraction and restore the structural integrity of a tooth. This device can also be combined with a dental implant to replace a single missing tooth.
- Dental Bridge: If a patient is missing one to three adjacent missing teeth, we can provide a customized dental crown to help bridge the gap left behind. This restorative device is designed from a single block of porcelain and consists of two dental crowns with at least one pontic (artificial tooth) in between. Each crown is cemented to the remaining teeth on either side of the gap or permanently connected to dental implants.
- Dentures: For patients with significant tooth loss, we provide traditional partial and full arch dentures, as well as implant-supported dentures to completely restore smiles.
- Dental Implants: These small titanium posts come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are surgically inserted in the jawbone to support a dental crown, dental bridge, or implant-supported denture. Dental implants provide the most ideal solution for replacing missing teeth.
- Tooth Extractions: When a tooth is too damaged and unable to be repaired with a filling or dental crown, a simple tooth extraction can be performed to protect your overall health. Although Dr. Lee will do her best to prevent tooth loss with one of our restorative procedures, in some cases, when the damage is too severe, a tooth extraction may be necessary.
- Full Mouth Reconstruction: For patients with significant damage and a variety of concerns, we can combine any number of treatments above into one treatment plan to provide a full mouth reconstruction.
