All About BOTOX Cosmetic
As the leading cosmetic treatment in the United States, most people have at least heard about BOTOX, but many don’t really know what it is. BOTOX is an injected medication that contains botulinum toxin type-A. This material is designed to block nerve impulses in the facial muscles that contract and crease. The medication is injected into the forehead, between the eyes, and around the eyes, mouth, and nostrils to decrease lines and wrinkles in those areas.
Consider BOTOX if you want to decrease the appearance of:

Treatment can take as little as 15 minutes and patients typically enjoy their results for three to four months. Patients report very little discomfort during BOTOX treatment; however, you may experience a slight stinging sensation at the injection site which can be minimized with a topical medication or ice. What You Need to Know About Restylane

How To Prepare for Facial Esthetic Treatments
Whether you are preparing for BOTOX or Restylane, follow these tips to reduce swelling and minimize possible bruising:
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment and for three days after treatment.
- Avoid certain supplements and medications like NSAIDS and herbal supplements.
- Talk to your doctor or dentist about any allergies and current medications.
- Ask about supplements to take before the procedure that aid in healing.
- Avoid salty foods for a few days before treatment.
- Avoid hair removal treatments to minimize the possibility of irritation at the injections site.
